Baby Dahl

This weekend, Stephanie, Merith and I headed home to the Skagit Valley for Sarah's baby shower. At seven months pregnant, Sarah looked absolutely adorable; the pregnancy glow was in full effect.

It's so fun to see people you've known for ages start a new journey together - they've been together since high school, went to college together, got married, jumped around for jobs together, bought a home together and now they're about to embark on probably the most exciting journey: poopy diapers. Err, I mean parenthood :) No doubt, they will be fabulous parents!

Now the waiting game, only two more months until we get to meet little Cameron Martin Dahl!

Obama and Kiddos

If you want your heart to melt, you must check out Barack Obama being adorable with adorable children. Whether you're voting for him or not, you can't deny he's adorable with children.

P.S. I get zero points for originality for this post because Mads already posted about it, but after she sent it to me yesterday, I can't stop thinking about how cute our President is!

Baby Interrogation

He tries and tries and tries, but to what avail?

Who would have ever thought that rap would be the cure?

I imagine that people would do just about anything to stop a baby from crying. If playing a little Biggie Smalls does the trick, then I say go for it. Shoot, this baby already has some swagger, if you ask me.

Remember when the dad got into the crib to stop his little one from crying? So stinkin' cute.

Who knew?

Who knew that blowing your nose is equal parts scary and funny?

Baby Orin

Last night I met my cousin Lynnette's new baby, Orin Saylor. He is absolutely adorable and I'm not just saying that because we're related. He really is! I got him to smile and he even had a tiny little giggle, which I'm sure is only going to get bigger.

After changing him, she put him in his crib and said, "wanna see the best thing $7 can buy?" And no kidding, he was in an instant trance with his little fish mobile, cracking a smile every so often. It's amazing what babies are entertained by.

Lynnette went the au natural route for his birth. You can read the birth story, but only if you can handle description.

Cousin, I'm so happy for you and Paul! Orin is such a great addition to the family.

(Note: I stole the pics below from FB, but the little man likes to yawn. Isn't it cute?)

Sweet dreams

I know, I know. I'm being completely unoriginal by posting this video because it seems to be all over the web, but can you blame me? Adorable. This baby dreams BIG.

(I'm also posting this in the spirit of the latest announcement of the 4th pregnancy my office has seen in the last year! What's in the water?)

Baby, it's cold outside

And inside my office.
My apartment.
My car for three-quarters of my 2.5 mile commute.
Inside my shoes. (need thicker socks)
And even inside my Lean Cuisine quesadilla. (note: microwave longer next time...)

AND, if you haven't already heard: Seattle is expecting snow next week! Better prepare myself with more food at my place and a hefty heating bill!

But it all brings me to one of my favorite holiday songs. One of the two versions below. What is your favorite holiday/Christmas song?

I dare you

...To try not to laugh while watching this.
