Pumpkin Patch 2.0

After a successful first pumpkin patch trip this year, my second trip was equally as fun. This time, we headed north to Stocker Farms - our go-to pumpkin patch. After scouting out the right pumpkin for our doorsteps, we headed to Erin's place for some good grub and vino. We stayed until our eyes couldn't stay open, which I think is a sign of a good night :) Once again, thanks for hosting, Erin!

Also striking a pose with an orangie.

What can I say? It's what we do best.
I'd be lying if I didn't admit this guy was heavy.

Lesson learned: buns make you taller!

The thing I love about ghords the most: they are seasonal through Thanksgiving!

A Fall Outing

In honor of Kimbie's visit to Seattle, we had to plan a little Fall outing - so we opted to jump on a ferry to Bainbridge Island to have a kick-back lunch and aimlessly stroll the downtown. It's becoming a tradition and if you know us well, we love our traditions. (Our first year and second year to Bainbridge!) It's really just a good excuse to escape the city, catch up and enjoy each other's company and that's exactly what we did.

P.S. The "Move Home" Campaign is not doing so well...

Lianna and Matt Tied the Knot

On Saturday, we celebrated Lianna and Matt as they took the plunge to become husband and wife. I am pretty sure that Lianna had a smile on her face the entire time, which naturally put a smile on my face. These two are perfect for each other.

The wedding was at Pravda Studios, which was filled with candles and classic wedding white. It was simply gorgeous, as was the bride! Gorgeous. Top it off with catering by Veraci Pizza, some awesome dance floor moves, catching up with old friends and late night burgers from Dick's - it was a great time!

P.S. This was our third wedding at Pravda - first Carol, then Meredith!

Lianna's Shindig

I'm late to report the festivities of Whidbey Island a few weekends ago. So my brief rundown:

You know it's a party when...
  • You're celebrating someone who is getting married. (Yay Lianna!)
  • Your party involves wine tasting at a barn on Whidbey Island.
  • There are photo opps' a plenty.
  • You make Christmas ornaments.
  • Your evening involves limbo with a boa and other rather girlish games.
  • There are 20+ ladies filled into one cabin - dancing (or watching the incredible dancers) the night away.
Lianna, only 31 days until you marry the love of your life. Can't wait!

(Mads and Steph recap the bachelorette weekend too!)

How do weekends fly by?

This weekend zoomed by, but it was a blast - the Nutcracker and a fun bachelorette party in the boonies. Greenbank, WA to be exact. (Though, I admit, not any more boonie-like than my own childhood home) The party may have involved some wine tasting in this very barn. Fun, huh?

Once I'm caught up with everything I left behind for the weekend, I'll share the whole scoop on the weekend. Happy Monday!

Welcome Home, Danielle!

How did she manage to stay away for over a year?! That's right, my good friend, Danielle - born and raised in Washington - has not been back for over a year! Granted, her family moved to Virginia, so now visits home aren't to the lovely town of Kalama (yes, where they shot part of the Twilight movie and have a page in their yearbook dedicated to Carhartts)... And last year she tried to come home for Straube's wedding, but there was a little mishap in ticket purchasing. It was a sad day when she found out that her tickets were accidently purchased for April, instead of July.

She moved to Memphis for the University of Tennessee program in something really smart like Pathology (cancer) and Developmental Biology. She's getting her PhD, so she'll be there awhile.

BUT, we have her for 12 days and we have quite the agenda set out for her, including but not limited to: dinner at her fave Thai place, mani/pedis, Golden Gardens BBQ for her birthday, Sunday brunch, Greenlake fun, going out in Ballard, maybe a little shopping downtown and sooo much more. She's going to leave this city exhausted! She'll be playing a little musical apartments the whole time - staying first with Lianna, then Maddie, me, and possibly Erin and Autumn.
