Mazel Tov, Jessie and Pete!

There are few things more fun than a friend's wedding. Adding a winery to the equation and a few lively Jewish traditions - like the Hora and lifting the bride and groom on chairs - well, that's when things get even more fun.

Jessie's creativity brought the wedding to the next level - every little decoration and detail was perfectly planned - the cake display, candy bar, flowers, bunting, table runners and even the late-night root beer floats! All of it, just perfect.

But the real show stopper was the bride, herself. Her simple, yet elegant dress (with a gorgeous sheer back!) certainly made her glow. Simply stunning.

Congratulations, Pete and Jessie!

The ceremony took part on top of a hill, overlooking a valley of vineyards.

The cake display was adorbs.

My hot date. (And my hot tan line, still from Hawaii)

Carol and I had a blast catching up and enjoying the festivities. (Plus, Nick and Joe had the chance to get to know each other more!) But we weren't able to snag a picture of us with the bride!

Excuse the poor lighting, but the bride and I made a few attempts of getting a good picture. I sort of love this "outake."

Despite the darkness, I'd say it's still a cute picture of the two of us :)

Carol got hitched.

Another rockin' wedding to add to my list of amazing weddings this summer. I've seriously been blown away!

Carol looked gorgeous and every little detail was so classic and very Carol-like. The ceremony was at Holy Names Academy, which is beautiful. Not to mention the priest who was actually pretty funny - there were mentions of a genie in a lamp and gin and tonics in his homily. He definitely kept the crowd's attention.

For the reception, we moved onto Pravda Studios in Capitol Hill. The venue was great, the food was delicious, the toasts were extremely thoughtful, yet entertaining, but the best part: EVERYONE was dancing. In my opinion, the dancing makes the party a true party.

Congrats to Carol and Nick!

I wish I had taken more pictures of the venue, but here's what the tables looked like.

And the beautiful bride and me.

DIY: Shower Decorations

On Sunday, I went to Carol's bridal shower with Jessie and had a great time! (Except for the getting lost in Tacoma part - that wasn't too much fun... But we survived and made it in one piece.) Now I can't wait until the actual wedding!

The shower had the most amazing decorations. I was especially impressed with these fun, colorful lanterns. They are pretty simple to make - just get a couple different sizes of paper lanterns and glue or tape on a ton of colorful yo-yos (my mom made an entire quilt of yo-yos, so I've definitely seen my fair share of these), then you have a pretty little decoration to hang above the table. Simple, yet adorable!
